Turtle Shell - Yellow

Meet Tacticool Turtle's very first product, the Turtle Shell Airsoft Impact Grenade.

Our goal for this product was to create an airsoft grenade that is simple to use, robust, and cheap to throw.

The Design

The Turtle shell is comprised of a PLA plastic main body with steel spring and bolt mechanism. Our reinforced shell is designed to dissipate internal force loads when thrown, while the screw cap features our own bespoke oversized thread pattern to collectively lower the possibility of part failure while reducing the number of twists required to open and close the grenade at the same time.

To top it off, we created a self-aligning cap ring disk with the use of embed magnets into the cap rings disk and grenade shell. This means that that your cap ring disk will automatically align to the bottom of the shell every time while preventing shell rattle in those sneaky moments that matter.

When armed, the Turtle Shell comes in at just 100 grams, meaning you can carry up to six of these on your load out while still remaining lighter than some aluminium airsoft grenades on the market

How it works

The Turtle shell operates using a spring and hammer assembly. When the pin is pulled and the Turtle Shell is thrown, the hammer strikes the cap ring disk to emit a loud bang up to 120db. Unlike other exploding grenades on the market, the Turtle Shell emits no concussive forces, meaning it's safe on unprotected ears in enclosed spaces.

And thanks to our self-aligning, interchangeable cap ring system, you can pick up your Turtle shell and reload it in seconds. Quickly throwing it over and over to clear the objectives ahead.

Worried about your Turtle Shell breaking?

Fear not! We've tested many of our prototypes up to 100 throws (video coming soon) and all turtle shells come with a 90-day part warranty against fundamental part failure like layer separation. Regular wear and tear is not covered.
